The CATEPS µGrid Living Lab is an infrastructure that follows the development of research and the reinforcement of the local business fabric in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Due to this fact, this facility is offered to public/private entities for their use.
The infrastructure will be reserved and requested through an interface in which it will be established:
The information of the initiative or project in which the collaboration is framed.
Information about the group or groups that will use the platform.
The specification of the necessary resources to carry out the research or deployment. In this case, limitations or restrictions on the use of the platform can be defined depending on boundary conditions or previous initiatives that have already reserved the resources.
The specification of the period of use of the facility. Said period cannot be given indefinitely, except in the case of critical support applications of some type of demonstrator or installation, and as long as it does not involve 100% of the installation's resources. The validity period must have an associated initiative or project in the validity period.
Once the reservation is approved, access to the platform will be provided, during the stipulated period. For this, the administrators and coordinators of the platform will carry out the reservation of resources, establishing a protocol for the designation of the different resources, thus identifying all the resources unequivocally, facilitating the operation of the system for researchers or groups external to the administration.
Finally, after collecting the results of the initiative or project, the group or groups that have used the platform must notify the scientific publications or scientific results obtained as a result of the use of the platform. In this way, it is possible to collect its importance and determine the importance of the role of said platform in the development of research and possible demonstrators.
